                                      Vesak falls months of May.  Buddhist people celebrate vesak. 

They remember this valuable day because there incidents happened on this day. 

The birth becoming the buddha and the parinirvana of lord buddha are the three 

incidents.🙏 

                                                               On this day many buddhist people go to the 

village temple to worship. Some people observe sil. Everyone  decorate the houses 

with colorful lights. Children make vesak lanterns and light them at night. 

                                                             

                                                            The elder people organize refreshment stalls. 

Many people go on pilgrimages with theirs family members.  Some people organize 

''Bakthi Gee'' ceremonies. Thorana is a common item for vesak. 

                                                                        

                                                       Yong people in the village get together and make

thorana using any jathaka story.  Each temple organize Bana preaching  for  the 

people. During the vesak season children as well as elders feel happy involving with 

above deeds.
