My favourite novel is Madol Doova.😍 Though it is a novel it contains ten short stories. It is an interesting story written around the rural environment. The story has written about two brave and mischievous boys. Always writer tells about the village life and the way of living.

           In the story the main two characters are ''Upali and ''Jinna''. They do their mischievous activities in their village it self. Sometimes the activities they do are brave, funny and humorous. Sometimes the activities they make us to sympathy towards them. When I read the story I am anxious to know about their next activity.😃 The story gives me beautiful images about the village and the people.💓 

            The dialogues used in this story and the incidents remember a drama. Therefore we feel that we are watching a drama. The words some characters use tell us their characteristics. The language the people use in this village is very different. ''Mona ulawwakda'', ''sange nathi paharayo'', ''olamottalayo'' etc.  

                The words used to explain the village bring us images to our minds.😇 The darkness, the sounds of birds and animals, smell of fruits etc. Among the books I read Madol Doova; brings me more pleasure. Therefore I can say it is a great creation done by Mr. Martin Wickramasinghe.💝
